A Few Photos

This first one is of Matt paddling on the River Lidd in the Scottish Borders. It was taken yesterday morning with the river at a good level.

This was a cracking Cheese & Onion Bannock Bread cooked in the woods the other day

Great to see John out again recently!!

We got lucky on Night Nav - it was one of the finer nights of the year so far

But talking of fine nights, you can't beat a night out with the "ladies":

Another Evening In Smallcleugh Mine, Nenthead

There has been so much written and published through every media channel conceivable on just how wet it has been this winter, bright days like today have been the exception rather than the norm and I've largely put the Lakeland Fells on hold so far this year, similarly there have been no trips down to Ingleton and no caving in the Yorkshire Dales.

However, it has had its compensations. I do enjoy exploring the mines at Nenthead (and elsewhere for that matter), so wet weather has on occasion made such activity the only viable option. It was with this in mind that I took a group of six guys on a guided trip to Wheel Flats. We exited via an abseil out of the flats and a look at the archaeology in Gulley Back Cross Cut.

An added bonus of the trip was the opportunity to take some GoPro3 footage using the extra lighting kit I've recently purchased. There are some photos & a short video below:

Bush Craft With In2Venture

Just a short video of some woodland activity.
Will post some more on this.

Night Nav

Its continued as a horribly wet & windy start to 2014 & as Atlantic lows continue to spiral towards us the pattern doesn't look set to change any time soon.

On a positive note I was able to run a night navigation session on behalf of In2venture in dry, mild and still conditions on Thursday night. Our venue was Mungrisdale Common in the Northern Fells.
